I don’t think there’s a lot I can say for Run the Jewels 2 that I didn’t already say for Run the Jewels. I totally get what they’re going for, but what they’re going for isn’t for me. I did like this album slightly more than the last, but there were still parts that I thought sounded pretty bad.Β But I don’t think that’s a problem for their audience: people younger than me who grew up on MP3s and aren’t audiophiles and don’t know music can sound better than this. There was one part in particular on Crown that I thought would have sounded really good if they had used a harmonica. But instead they used either some electronic instrument sample or a guitar with a bunch of effects filters. Either way, it sounded like a natural harmonica part but definitely wasn’t played on an actual harmonica. There’s only one other Run The Jewels album. I think I’ll probably give it a shot.Β Β―_(γ)_/Β―
