Two days ago, my brother and I were watching the most recent Gifs with Sound on YouTube and at the end they played a song I recognized but was blanking on its name. My brother tried to find it on Shazam and I tried to remember it before he could. I guessed that it was Long Distance Runaround, and it turns out it was actually Roundabout. I’d say I got pretty damn close, getting the artist and even a track from the same album with a similar name.
Then on my drive home last night, I got to town and tuned in to my favorite radio station in time to catch the tail-end of a song that also turned out to be on Fragile, and I figured I might as well go for it and listen to the whole album. I thought that having finished a two hour road trip would put me in the mood to listen to a Prog Rock album, but I was wrong.
The two titles I’ve already mentioned were good, but I already knew that. The rest of the album was a total miss. The only positive thing I can think to say about any of the other songs was that Heart of the SunriseΒ started out really great, even though it didn’t really match the rest of the album, but by the time the intro was over we were back to familiar and slightly unpleasant territory.
